The second edition of the Festival della Letteratura Giovane (Mondello Giovani), born from the Premio Letterario Internazionale Mondello<\/i>, which since 1975 has promoted first-time writers with the Opera Prima Award, focused on the productions of the youngest, on new trends and expressions.<\/p>\n
The event, created and promoted by the Fondazione Banco di Sicilia, with Vodafone Italia as a partner, had as its theme ‘The Lesson of the Masters’ and took place in various historical locations in Palermo, from the Teatro Biondo to the Galleria d’Arte Moderna, in the Sant’Anna monumental centre and at the Kursaal Kalhesa.<\/p>\n
The Festival included readings by authors of the calibre of Alessandro Baricco, meetings with publishers, actors and writers, as also recitals and music.<\/p>\n
During the initiative, were awarded prizes to the young winners of the ‘Sms Poetry’ competition, who sent their verses via mobile phone.<\/p>\n
